Join Democratic mayoral candidate John White Jr., who said, "I am moved by Sam Katz's genuine concern for our city and its people, his commitment to bring about a coalition government that reflects the diversity and extraordinary talents of our citizens." I hope you will take the time to read my enthusiastic endorsement by The Philadelphia Inquirer: "Sam Katz offers a fresh wind in the city's sails -- ideas and can-do energy that could propel Philadelphia forward," and also by The Philadelphia Daily News: "Sam Katz has drawn a map to steer the city toward growth and promise and has the values and skills to get there." These "votes of confidence" confirm my ability to enact a smarter and leaner city government and to lower costs and taxes without harming city services. They point to my proven leadership that will help get the public schools the money they deserve. And what better underscores my commitment to attracting and keeping top talent than my early support for retaining Police Commissioner John Timoney?
